Thoughts on understanding why Death Penalty a Punishment for Iratdad in Islam.

Thoughts on understanding why Death Penalty a Punishment for Iratdad in Islam.

I am a Muslim and let us suppose a married person openly declares that he is no more Muslim ....what are its consequences? I will only talk in legal sense , other consequences are also there but to keep the matter simple I go for that. One is as per Islamic law he has committed Irtadad he was not forced to accept Islam ...no coercion was reported ( if it was coercion the act is illegal ab initio ) the person knew when since birth or after accepting that leaving religion has a punishment ( legal maxim, ignorance of law is no excuse ) . The punishment traditionally mentioned is that offer him chance of Taubah , for three days and if he repents ok, he can be forgiven.  Otherwise death penalty is the law... But other things also happen along with this his Nikah becomes invalid from the time he openly proclaims his renunciation of Islam . The children and his wife are no more legally bound to live with him. This is clear and valid position as per law. He can not own the property or any thing, this is in line with the fundamental principle of his being Muslim and adhering to that set of legal code as it is applicable in that capacity to  every adult person. Is it clear till now?  It is explanation of a situation . Stick to the point, then we move forward. Is it illogical position? It is perfectly in line with sound norms and legal standards accepted about law in whole world , that if you deny a contract then the contractual benefits, rights and obligations vanish. No more contract no more its applicability. Is it clear? There are certain clauses for the breach of contract .....in all legal instruments and in this specific case with a provision to restore the contract the result is death...complete future annihilation of the rights or obligations after the finishing of the contract. This is completely wrong idea to assume that it is an idea or thought. In Islam the very fabric of society is originating and is result of the ideas and as Iqbal said Islam does not accept relationship of blood but of ideas. Being Muslim and accepting the code enshrined in Quran and Sunnah. Is it clear till now? I have not touched the why of punishment as of now. I have mentioned the process, consequences  and inherent reasons of an action.
